It's all about community...

"Then those 'sheep' are going to say, 'Master, what are you talking about? When did we ever see you hungry and feed you, thirsty and give you a drink? And when did we ever see you sick or in prison and come to you?' Then the King will say, 'I'm telling the solemn truth: Whenever you did one of these things to someone overlooked or ignored, that was me—you did it to me.'"

Matthew 25:37-40 (MSG)

We believe an authentic church should strive to meet individual needs through relationships with others within our community. When additional care is required, our community care teams exist to meet the spiritual, emotional and physical needs in difficult life circumstances.

Common Ground Saturday Morning Outreach

Every Saturday from 8-11 AM we serve those with the most need in our community. Saturday mornings, we come together to connect with the community. Join us for free hot breakfast and conversation. Grocery and clothing available for those in need. Contact communitycare@greenvalley.church for more information.

The Firewood Ministry

Help keep our community warm this winter. Volunteer in the Firewood Ministries - and work out in the woodyard, cutting, splitting, stacking, and loading up cars on Saturday mornings. Need firewood? Contact the Pastoral Partner team.

Grief Ministry

There is no right or wrong way to grieve. When you are ready, people with similar experiences are here to help you get through it.

Memorial Services: Green Valley provides memorial services, free of charge to anyone in our community.  This includes our facility, service planning, food and resources (including a memorial card and slide show).  Services are performed on Thursdays at 1pm. We try our best to make time available for any family needing our help.

Memory Garden: The Memory Garden is a place for families to go to remember the loved one they’ve lost.  On Green Valley’s campus and open to everyone, the garden provides places to sit, pray, reflect, be still.  We pray that this garden will provide healing as families have the opportunity to order a plaque in honor of their loved one. We offer support groups, when you feel it is time, to help you get through this time.

Grief Support: After the funeral, when the cards and flowers have stopped coming, most of the people around you return to their normal lives. But your grief continues and you feel alone. That’s the reason for GriefShare. Our group is led by caring people who have experienced grief and have successfully rebuilt their lives. We understand how you feel because we’ve been in the same place. We will walk with you on the long path through grief, toward healing, and hope for the future.

WHEN THE WORLD ASKS WHAT GOD IS LIKE, WE SHOULD BE ABLE TO SAY, “LOOK AT THE CHURCH”

When Jesus came to earth, he turned the world's values upside down. Jesus modeled servant-hood and love.  He lifted the lonely and embraced the marginalized.  In his first public message, he said “I have come to set the captives free and to preach good news to the poor”.

We take these words seriously and consider it our calling to serve others.  Through local, national and international relationships, we‘re living out Jesus‘ values by fighting poverty and injustice.
